Chedi Lustica Bay is a solid five-star hotel with a private Adriatic beach. It’s a decent option for a short stay but overall it’s a level below One&Only Portonovi and the location has drawbacks.
Stay at Chedi Lustica Bay
The flagship property of Lustica Bay marina village, this youthful property can be used as a base for exploring both land and water. Or a layover between experiences in Croatia and Montenegro. Turquoise waters stretch out from your seaview terrace. Indulgence is found in the Voya spa. There’s more than enough tranquillity, along with the fresh style and service we associate with all Chedi properties. But we’re not a massive fan of the Lustica Bay development, which is still a construction site. And whether location, facilities or rooms, the nearby One&Only is a superior property.
Location
Lustica Bay marina village is a new development on a peninsula that separates the Bay of Kotor from the Adriatic Sea. Facing the open sea, the hotel is very susceptible to poor weather, like strong winds. The sea can be rough and won’t be suitable for most children. Tivat Airport is only a ten-minute drive. Kotor is just 15 minutes away. Lustica Bay really feels like work in progress and you will hear and see construction during a stay. More five-star hotels will open in the area soon, along with a golf course and residences.
Rooms
111 rooms are spread across ten different categories. We recommend a sea view room, as all of these also have balconies. Some rooms have kitchenettes and there are options for families, especially the two-bedroom grand deluxe corner suites. Inspired by traditional village architecture, the overall style is cosy and comforting, rather than flashy.
Who is it for
This is a good-value option for many types of visitor, including families, best for shorter rather than longer stays.
Facilities & activities
The location is perfect for exploring everything around the Bay of Kotor and taking trips along the coast. For quiet resort days there’s a private pebbled beach, excellent spa, infinity pool and growing range of watersports. Expect more to become available as the Lustica Bay destination develops in the coming years.
