Stay at North Island

Four startlingly powder-sand beaches peek out from palm-fringed slopes, whilst undulating granite peaks entertain the skyline. This vast natural paradise is your private playground. It was the honeymoon destination of the Clooneys and Prince William and Kate, an indication of the privacy and seclusion on offer. But note you’ll find better quality accommodation elsewhere in the Seychelles.

Location

As good as it gets. A private island only accessible by a 20-minute helicopter transfer northward – hence the name – from the main island Mahé.

Rooms

10 enormous two-bedroomed villas, plus the 750sqm Villa North Island – also known as Villa 11 – where George and Amal Clooney honeymooned. We think the villas are quite outdated and in need of a major overhaul. Don’t pick this resort if you want to spend most of your holiday lounging around your villa.

Who is it for

Pick this resort for breathtaking nature and exclusivity. Really, it’s for couples seeking romantic isolation on a vast island of white beaches, untouched jungle, tortoises and marine life.

Facilities & activities

Almost endless. On North Island, the all-inclusive package means what it says – everything is included. Enjoy yoga, diving, deep-sea fishing, sunset cruises, kayaking, paddle boarding, and hiking with the island’s resident conservationist. Have one of the beaches made private to you for a day. Dining is highly personalised, in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Akira Back - we love their picnic options!
