The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort

The natural setting of the resort is truly divine, however when it comes to interiors it can feel a little outdated, especially when compared to The St. Regis Maldives. That’s not to say you won’t have a great time. Service is still first-class, and the potential for a design renovation always remains.

Stay at St. Regis Bora Bora

Flower garlands and fragrant washcloths welcome you to The St Regis, and this is before you’ve even arrived onto the paradise estate. Follow a maze of winding paths through luscious grounds. To one side, white sands bordered by coconut palms stretch. To the other, your dreamy vacation home over turquoise waves awaits.Indulgence is ripe at this Edenic haven. And why shouldn’t it be, when tropical ambience combines with snippets of Mount Otemanu from multiple vantages? Take a break from kayaking, as lunch is delivered straight to your private beach chaise. Enjoy a sail at sunset, watching pastel shades of sky slowly come to life. Michelin dishes at the glass-panelled dining room comes next, preceded by cocktails and live music at the atmospheric Aparima Bar.

Location

The St Regis is only a 15-minute journey from Bora Bora Airport, for which the property has its own private boat. Spread generously across 44 acres, the resort spans three islets, surrounded by open ocean, a dreamy lagoon and dramatic peaks in the distance.

Rooms

Most of the suites here are overwater, featuring thatched roofs, spacious living areas and authentic Polynesian decor. Private stilted decks offer steps straight into the sea. Scenic beach villas are also available, including the impressive Royal Estate Villa with its multiple rooms that sleep up to nine, private beach and pool.

Who is it for

Bespoke amenities for children make this a suitable choice for families, however the natural romance of the location is probably most cherishable by couples. Honeymooners in particular will enjoy the intimate, laid back vibe fostered here.

Facilities & activities

Expect four delectable restaurants, including Bora Bora’s only Michelin-starred establishment. Leisure facilities comprise a fitness centre, spa, tennis court and two pools, one of which is reserved exclusively for adults. Alongside complimentary bicycles, an artificial lagoonarium provides a chance to snorkel with bountiful tropical fish.
