Stay at Nana Princess

This relatively new beachfront resort is paradise. It’s a calm and upmarket property with around 100 rooms and two beaches. The modern interiors and amenities are a level above what was previously available in Crete, while the wide-ranging facilities will keep kids entertained. However, the location is not particularly amusing, especially for couples on a longer stay.

Location

Right on the seafront between Malia and Hersonissos, making it very convenient for a string of popular family attractions like the Aquaworld Aquarium and Acqua Plus water park. However, there’s nowhere walkable from the resort. So unless you’re planning many day excursions around the island, this isolated location could feel a little boring for couples.

Rooms

Every suite comes with a terrace and private pool. However, the suites are boxed next to each other so these are not particularly private or tranquil. Overall, the contemporary design is of a very high quality and you can feel the premium level of amenities. The higher category suites deliver more interior space and have a more premium location. Some suites also have their own spa and gym facilities. There are good multi-bedroom options for families too.

Who is it for

Nana Princess is a good base for exploring Crete. It offers good service, comfortable accommodation and a convenient location. If you only plan to lounge in the sun and stay in the resort, there are more suitable options to consider elsewhere in Greece.

Facilities & activities

The futuristically styled spa is a real highlight, especially the treatments and aromatherapy showers. There’s a kids’ club and all the multi-bedroom villas feature good-sized pools. One natural beach opens onto a wild windy sea while the other is a lot calmer and better for kids, plus offers private cabanas. A major advantage of your stay is using all the sports facilities and pools of the four-star hotel next door.
