One of the world’s hottest new hotels and it exceeds expectations. This is a playground for adults that’s far more exclusive and private than well-known Atlantis The Palm. Definitely worth experiencing, either as a Dubai layover or Dubai holiday.
Stay at Atlantis The Royal
Gaze across Dubai from a sky pool then lounge in your cabana. Dine on creative cuisine in one of many celebrity chef restaurants. Wander the beach, grab a snack at the Nobu beach bar, then continue a day of fun beneath the sun. Atlantis The Royal is a vast experiential resort for adults, where you can easily spend a week and not do it all. Despite being so new, the service is phenomenal and we’ve been so impressed with attention to details in such a large property. Atlantis The Royal has created an atmosphere of fun and exclusivity, plus a calm and tranquillity unfindable at Atlantis The Palm. It’s not just a more luxurious version of its well-known sister hotel: it’s a very different holiday experience.
Location
Dominating the end of the palm, not far from the original Atlantis The Palm, the hotel’s location makes for sweeping ocean and city views. It’s not very central but that’s not an issue, because a stay at Atlantis The Royal is all about enjoying and exploring the hotel, rather than getting out into the city.
Rooms
Rooms are spacious and well appointed, with good-sized private balconies and exceptional amenities. They either have a sea or Palm Jumeirah view. Suites are double the size and come with many benefits, like butler service and access to the Royal Club Lounge, for breakfast and afternoon tea. Plus they have views encompassing both the sea and the palm. Sky pool villas have large private terraces and the top-category suites exceed anything we’ve seen previously in Dubai. We love the attention to detail throughout, something so rare in large hotels.
Who is it for
The hotel is a playground for adults, best for couples or friends going on any Dubai holiday. It’s already a top-tier option in the Emirate. While the hotel does have some children’s facilities and interconnecting rooms, some of the hotel’s locations are reserved for guests aged over 21. We especially recommend Atlantis The Royal for a layover, when you’re returning via Dubai. It’s very calm and relaxing, but there’s also so much to experience and explore, without leaving the resort.
Facilities & activities
This is one of few global resorts where you can genuinely explore, without ever leaving the hotel grounds. Like the world’s first Nobu beach club. The many outstanding celebrity chef restaurants. Various on-site water sports and the spectacular Cloud 22 sky pool. Galleries, shops, bars, pools, and so much more, like included access to Aquaventure next door. Unlike Atlantis The Palm, access to much of the hotel is restricted to guests, keeping the experience more exclusive and private.
