The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, Costa Navarino

With two alternating courses, this is a great option for golfers. Beach lovers will also appreciate the private piece of coast on offer here. However, being more of a micro destination rather than a base for sightseeing, the remote location might not be for everyone.

Stay at The Romanos

Step into the Romanos Costa Navarino, and relinquish the stresses of normality and the everyday. This is a beachside oasis of secluded luxury and alluring views, with plenty on offer to keep each moment new. Adrenaline-filled experiences in the water or on land await. Or perhaps you’d prefer a slow afternoon by the pool? With a swim-up bar also on-site, you can keep the treats coming according to your pace. Stroll along walkways lined with fragrant plants and herbs. Take in stunning landscapes alongside hookah and belly dancers, or an immersive beach lunch of freshly-caught fish.

Location

Located in southwest Peloponnese, the resort enjoys a remote position. A 4 hour drive from Athens, the nearest airport Kalamata is an hour away. Though it is quite small, it can provide a great landing spot if you’re planning to arrive by private jet.

Rooms

The property consists of 321 rooms, designed in seamlessly blended dark wood and marble tones. Villas are large and immaculate, offering spacious terraces and amenities that ensure total comfort and ease. Most ground-floor stays come with a private infinity pool.

Who is it for

While the estate is most suited to adults and couples, guests travelling with kids can also use the facilities over at family-friendly Westin, a neighbouring property still part of the same Costa Navarino resort.

Facilities & activities

Generous facilities give way to a large infinity pool, a 4,000 sqm spa, two gyms, golf courses, tennis courts, and a wealth of water sports activities. Guests also have access to an aqua park and volleyball pool at the on-site sister hotel, and the two share a central square featuring shops, 19 bars and restaurants and an open-air cinema.
