Location
Based within the Madinat Jumeirah complex, this resort within a resort is a 30-minute drive from the airport. It’s on the beach, although due to the resort’s size many rooms are quite far from the sand. You can walk, take a traditional Abra boat, or ride a golf buggy, to over 50 restaurants and bars, plus a souk and the Wild Wadi waterpark which is free for hotel guests.
Rooms
We really like the contemporary approach to Arabian design, a welcome contrast to some of the more traditional hotels in this area. The 400+ rooms really vary in terms of size, location and view, so we prefer to advise you personally about the options. Premium rooms and suites include Club entry and perks.
Who is it for
This is a good option for both couples and families, with interconnecting rooms, family suites and unlimited complimentary entry to the Wild Wadi waterpark. It’s definitely not a boutique hotel, so if you demand privacy and very personal service stay elsewhere.
Facilities & activities
Madinat Jumeirah is like a distinct Dubai neighbourhood, complete with spa, souk and its own turtle rehabilitation lagoon. Getting around the canals on traditional abra boats is a delight, as is discovering the sheer range of restaurants and cafes. And of course there’s the beach.
