Minos Beach Art Hotel

A charming resort sat on an enchanting bay, this grown-up hotel is for those who want a break in the sun, one high on culture and low on adrenaline. Ideal for a dose of quiet inspiration.

Stay at Minos Beach Art Hotel

Ambling between secluded villas on the grounds of the Minos Beach Art Hotel is like being in the world’s most relaxing open-air art gallery. Home to over fifty unique art installations, a break here won’t just leave you with a tan, it will leave you feeling inspired too. But it's not all art appreciation, nature has been kind to the resort too. Sat at the head of a charming bay, guests can admire timeless views from a pair of cute sandy beaches or a long curving seafront walkway dotted with jetties and inviting beanbags. Or, of course, from the comfort of their waterfront villa.

Location

Approximately 40miles east of Crete’s main airport at Heraklion, the resort is sat on a picturesque bay just half a mile from the centre of the quaint historic town of Agios Nikolaos.

Rooms

The resort has 129 rooms, bungalows & villas with private pools. Each bungalow is completely secluded from one another. Some larger villas offer direct access to the water. Be noted, the resort is quite large and making use of the buggy rides is recommended.

Who is it for

Grown-ups. This is an adult-only hotel that will appeal to art lovers and those who savour their privacy. It's easy to see why it has attracted its fair share of notable guests in the past – including one Mr Walt Disney.

Facilities & activities

In addition to being an open-air art gallery, the resort offers two small beaches, a large pool, four restaurants and a token spa, which by all reports offers great massages but from cramped confines.
