Stay at the Four Seasons Sayan
Bathed in a tropical mirage above the Ayung River, the Four Seasons Sayan hangs over a red palm, bougainvillea and mini wheat field maze. Arrive at the oasis and be blessed with holy water. Swathed with a selendang sash, you cross the sky-bridge.On the other side, a plethora of refined treasures unfold. Coffee never tasted better than in your valley-side villa, watching the mist seep through the trees. The rest of your mornings alternate between yoga and pool lounging. Next, cycle through rice paddies before healing rituals with the high priestess. And last but not least, a stream-side, candle-lit dinner beneath the moonlight.
Location
Tucked between rice fields by the tiny village of Sayan, the hotel enjoys a dreamy location surrounded by scented gardens. While Ubud is only a 10-minute drive, the journey to the airport can take two hours in traffic. Luckily, the FS exclusive limo jazzes up the ride.

This stunning, jungle property comprises 60 stays. Both suite and villa grades are highly spacious, with private terraces and tropical views. The lavish interiors feature traditional craftsmanship and local touches alongside all manner of comforts.
Who is it for
A well-equipped playground for adults as well as kids, with under 18s welcome to share rooms with parents free of charge. Wanton family-friendly activities add enticement, but that’s not to say the ambience isn’t befitting of couples too.

Two sensational restaurants serve a range of cuisine. When you’re not sampling Indonesian specialties beside rainforest vistas, there’s the phenomenal Sacred River Spa. A fitness centre and pool are also present. Diverse daily excursions span river rafting round volcanoes, village visits and authentic cooking classes.
