Stay at Cap Rocat
Breathe in the fresh, briny breeze, and gaze on Palma Bay spread at your feet. Your canopied day-bed is just the place to relax and rest your eyes on the sea and sky.This is also an exciting site — Cap Rocat used to be a 19th-century fortress. You will enter it through an embattled gate, and walk under arches and through tunnels cut in the rock. And though you wouldn’t usually associate a military site with the word “stylish”, this is exactly what Cap Rocat is. The overall design blends in with the rock setting, creating a private, restful and unique atmosphere.
Location
Cap Rocat is on Palma Bay, a 15-minute drive from the airport. Just like any other five-star hotel on the island, it’s not on the beach — it sits on rocky cliffs. You do have access to the sea from the hotel, but it’s a small, man-made sand beach.
Rooms
There are only 22 suites and 2 rooms. All have private terraces with views to the sea and the land around, and some have a private plunge pool.
Who is it for
Cap Rocat only accepts guests above 15 years of age — with those steps and rocks all over the place, you would be constantly worried if you brought your kids along. This is the most secluded and private hotel in Mallorca, so it’s ideal for couples.
Facilities & activities
You can choose from a variety of excursions on land and sea, and go snorkelling or biking. There’s a seawater pool in the spa, a private cinema and two restaurants.
