Stay at the Royal Hideaway Corales Beach
Sip your cocktail as you lounge in the rooftop pool, and watch the Atlantic glow with sunset colours. Ensure a good night’s sleep with a relaxing spa session. If you are in the mood for some shopping, the Plaza del Duque shopping centre is a five-minute drive away. And though a five-minute walk will take you to a number of waterfront restaurants, don’t miss the Peruvian-Japanese dishes in the hotel’s San Hõ, or the Michelin-starred cuisine of El Rincón de Juan Carlos, the most awarded restaurant in the Canary Islands.
The Royal Hideaway Corales Beach is in the village of La Caleta in the south of Tenerife. It’s an oceanfront hotel, but it’s a 5-minute drive to the nearest beach. The island’s South Airport is a 20-minute drive away.
This is an all-suite hotel. It does include junior suites, and you can choose from normal junior suites and junior suites with a private hot tub on the terrace. The decor is modern and light, with plenty of white colour. Depending on what floor you choose, you will have a partial or good sea view, or the panoramic view in the highest floors.
Who is it for
This is the adults-only section of the adjoining Barcelo’s Corales Resort — it’s just the place for a couple’s vacation. If you are bringing your under-16 kids, stay at the resort instead.
Amenities & Activities
If you are here for the beach, the closest one is La Enramada — a typical, black sand volcanic beach (just like most others in Tenerife). The hotel offers a daily fitness programme and a few outdoor pools. Besides, there are a range of experiences you can book — from opera to flying over Mt. Teide to stargazing from a boat deck.
