Finca La Donaira Montecorto

La Donaira is a great base for Andalucia trips. The village of Ronda is 50 minutes away by car, and the famous white villages are even closer. Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada are all within day-trip distance.

Stay at La Donaira

Think of a remote, 15th-century country house deep in the Andalusian countryside, and you are thinking of La Donaira. This hotel is the definition of a luxury Spanish finca — a traditional, rustic place where things move at a slower pace. Here it’s all about slow travel, deep experiences, and connecting with nature. The hotel is inside a biodynamic farm, and you can learn natural horsemanship in the equestrian centre. Food is local and seasonal, with many ingredients coming from the estate farm itself.

Location

This is the place to get away from it all. It’s a 1h30 drive to Seville Airport, and 1h45 to Malaga Airport.

Rooms

There are just 9 rooms, and each one is differently decorated in a rustic-meets-contemporary style. Two of the rooms are luxury yurts — short of sleeping under the stars, you can’t get more close to nature than this.

Who is it for

This is definitely an adults-oriented hotel. Families are welcome, but we don’t recommend traveling with small kids — they will get bored easily. At that age, agrotourism and sustainability are not exactly exciting, are they?

Facilities & activities

Ride a horse or hike over peaceful hills, do hands-on food and wine workshops, and indulge in spa sessions with sweeping mountain views all around. Then take a car and venture out to discover more of Andalucia.
