This hotel has impressive rustic charm and is one of our favourites infrom the North of France. If you are looking for the highest level of luxury then look elsewhere. This hotel prides itself on staying true to its routes and aesthetic - it’s experiential rather than opulent.
Stay at Ferme Saint Siméon
An expansive lawn sprawls down from the quaintquant La Ferme Saint Simeone Hotel. Dotted with leafy apple trees, from a birds-eye view, it resembles an impressionist style painting from a birds-eye view,. The hotel is deeply embedded with a rich artistic history, in fact, room 22 was once lived in by the infamous painter Claude Monet. Walk-in Monet's shoes and sit by his old fireplace and see what inspired his work. What started as an apple farm and inn in the 17th century, became home to aspiring French artists, and is now an authentic luxury hotel. Feel the change of the centuries in the hallways and observe the seasons from your window.
Location
Dotted on the Southern embankment of the Seine Estuary, the hotel rests at the top of Honfleur. A road runs from the hotel to the center of town, making a neat balance of town and country living.
Rooms
Rooms are split into two buildings. Feel part of the furniture in the 17th century timbered pavilion with ornate wooden panels, soft lighting, and a cozy charming interior. It’s, fit- for- farm-style luxury. Allow the breeze in with the more spacious 20th-century Pressoir, with grand balconies and beautiful oak panels.
Who is it for
Best enjoyed by couples and adults who love art and history, or revel in the countryside. Those who enjoy observing surroundings and soaking in a sense of place, find it most peaceful here.
