Location
Approximately 30 minutes from Mahé airport, the Maia is in a stunning location on the island’s southwest coast, right next door to idyllic Anse Louis beach. Expect some of the most dramatic sunsets you have ever seen.
Rooms
All of the 30 villas feature private terraces, infinity pools and butler service. Villa categories are defined by location. Premier Beach Pool Villas have a private garden with direct beach access, while the other categories are scatterd along the penisula. The outermost villas are the most private and have the best sunsets. Bill Bensley is one of our favourite hotel designers, and along with Lek Bunnag, he created the stunning confluence of Aztec, Balinese and African design styles. All villas take two adults and two children, while two beach pool villas can interconnect if you want more space.
Who is it for
This is a romantic spot that will naturally appeal to almost any couple. It can be a good choice for families too. Rather than a kids club, the VIK Program (Very Important Kids) customises many resort activities individually to each child.
Facilities & activities
Nature dominates, whether it's on the beach, looking out from your villa, or the gorgeous Balinese style spa. There are two excellent restaurants and a pool bar, with the real gastronomy highlight being in-villa dining, included in the room rate and served by your villa host.
