Because it’s so large, The Lodge is not a great option for couples and small parties. But it can be the best accommodation in Verbier for large groups and families. It’s a guesthouse rather than a hotel, and once you’re there you will immediately see why the owner, business magnate Sir Richard Branson, loves this place.
Stay at The Lodge
If you are travelling in a big group, it can be tricky finding lodgings where you can all be together with total privacy. The Lodge is one of those hard-to-find places.The Lodge is a nine-bedroom luxury chalet, accommodating up to 18 guests. During the winter season, it’s available for exclusive hire for a minimum of seven nights. During selected weeks, shorter stays of three and four nights are also available. In summer The Lodge is also available for exclusive hire for a two-night minimum stay — or you can book individual rooms for shorter stays.
Location
The Lodge is a five-minute walk from the centre of Verbier, and a two-hour car ride from Geneva Airport.
Rooms
The chalet is decorated in contemporary style throughout. There are bedrooms, large rooms, a bunk room, and two master suites. The latter have fireplaces and — children will love this — a secret interconnecting door through the bookcase.
Who is it for
Families will find this a great place. The staff will organize tailored activities for children, such as a treasure hunt and a snowman building competition, and appoint selected ski instructors for the youngsters. Babysitting is also available.
Facilities & activities
Just pick your favourite winter activity — from skiing to snowboarding, to snowshoeing, through paragliding and sledging. The Lodge also offers spa treatments, an indoor pool, and indoor and outdoor hot tubs. If you come in summer, you can go beyond the obvious hiking and play golf, go mountain biking and horse riding, among other options.
