Stay at the Post Lech
Step into old glamour, at the hotel where the Dutch and Norwegian royal families spend their ski holidays. Hunting trophies and regal touches standout, but amid the traditional alpine design you find contemporary features as well. Like metal and glass to balance all the wood. Now step into your Kaiser Suite, a spacious place for a family stay, where you can unwind before dining at Austria’s first ever Relais & Chateaux property. And of course you’ll step into the spectacular new spa and see the huge swimming pool for kids, features that make this old hotel feel very contemporary as well.
Barely 100 metres from the ski lifts this is Lech’s most central hotel. Not quite ski-in ski-out but still very convenient. Lech offers phenomenal snow cover and snow quality, both locally and when you ski to other areas of the Arlberg. Local slopes are spread across three mountains and there is enormous variety, from freeriding fresh powder to groomed nursery pistes.
Some of the older rooms feel a little outdated and features like hunting trophies won’t appeal to everyone. We like the Kaiser Suites as they are most spacious and add a contemporary edge to the older grandeur.
Who is it for
A great choice for families, with easy ski lift access, various facilities for kids and the new spa. Couples may prefer the atmosphere of Kristiania Lech up the road, but at the same time, Post Lech also delivers the amenities demanded of almost any romantic ski holiday.
Amenities & Activities
The hotel’s long Moosbrugger family history remains alive and you experience their genuine attention to details. The spa is exceptional, children are royally welcomed and the dining remains as good as ever. While it’s obviously a popular choice for winter skiing, you can also use Post Lech as a good base for exploring the Arlberg mountains in summer.
