Location

A five-minute walk or complimentary transfer to Lech’s main ski lifts, central enough to explore everything the town has to offer, but not the town’s most central option. Lech is an old-money resort in western Austria, in a vast ski area with a formidable reputation for fresh powder.

Rooms

The hotel’s idiosyncratic design ranges from pop art to vintage alpine heritage. Many hotels offer individually designed rooms but Kristiania Lech takes this to a stratospheric level. The diversity in room interior design and layout is remarkable. So much so that you select your specific room before arrival. Some rooms you won’t like and some you will absolutely love - selecting one is a fun part of planning your holiday.

Who is it for

This is decidedly an adult-orientated hotel with a strong lifestyle focus. It’s intimate, interesting and something different for an alpine stay. Not recommended for families and the lack of a spa will be a deciding factor for some.

Facilities & activities

For snow cover and snow quality Lech is hard to rival, especially as it’s interlinked by lifts and pistes to all areas of the Arlberg. Privacy and romance can take centre stage at Kristiania Lech, whether it’s an individual saloon in the restaurant or a spot of Champagne on the nearby slopes. Breakfast is wonderful, a la carte and served at any time of the day. There’s no spa but there is a sauna besides the ski room. You’ll find plenty of fun extras and activities on offer here, both in and outside of the season.
