Explore Chedi Andermatt

A quaint combination of Alps and Asia works perfectly at this visually stunning hotel. From a distance, it has the Apine chalet looks, but step inside and you will realize the design is contemporary. The straight lines, dimmed lights and lots of wood create a soothing, Zen-like ambience.
Location
The Chedi Andermatt is two hours by train — or a 1h10 drive — from Zurich. It’s right in the middle of the town of Andermatt, at the bottom of the valley, so rather than looking down and around at the mountains, you will be looking up at them.
Rooms
You can choose from seven different categories of rooms and suites, totalling 123 accommodations. The decor is in modern Japanese style, with muted warm tones that give you a cozy feel. All rooms have electric fireplaces, and some have terraces.
Who is it for
We recommend this hotel to couples rather than families. The design and atmosphere appeal more to adults than youngsters, and there are no family suites apart from the CHF 15.000-a-night Gotthard Suite. However, families can stay here, and children are welcome in the spa.
Amenities & Activities
This is not ski-in ski-out, but the ski lift is just around the corner. Ski butlers — a particularity of The Chedi — are there to make sure your skiing runs as smoothly as can be. The spa and gym facilities are comprehensive. Remember the Michelin-starred Japanese Restaurant requires booking in advance.
