Explore Arctic TreeHouse

An Arctic wonderland comes in the form of rectangular-shaped chalets. Carved into a forested hillside, snow-drizzled trees give way to captivating scenes. Enjoy a warm drink by the fire upon your arrival, before being whisked away to your hidden abode.Begin your days with a traditional Scandinavian buffet. Fuelled on fresh goodness, you venture forth on a husky tour, already anticipating the lakeside massage scheduled upon your return. Original Lapland-inspired cuisine provides further rejuvenation. On clear nights, you observe the dance of Aurora from your quarters, with window-facing beds ensuring immersive rest.

Location

This is an amazing base from which to watch the Northern Lights. Just a 10-minute drive from Rovaniemi Airport, the hotel is easily reachable from Helsinki and other European destinations. Activities like reindeer and husky safaris are in abundant supply.

Rooms

This design-conscious property embeds Scandi architecture with wood, stone and fur-based Nordic decor. The 52 individually-stilted Arctic units overlook a valley, with large windows and Aurora-facing beds. For true serenity and the highest form of luxury, be sure to opt for an executive suite. Almost twice the size of normal treehouse suites, they come with their own sauna and fireplace-set terrace. The third category, Arctic Glass House, features two bedrooms and is recommended for families.

Who is it for

A great choice for couples as well as families. Kids can enjoy the Santa Claus village nestled nearby, though be warned, it is quite touristy. Lastly, some units are adjoining, ensuring proximity and privacy for groups of guests.

Amenities & Activities

Outdoor activities like trekking are generous regardless of season, arranged with external local providers. Within the resort, there’s a bistro-style restaurant, though some suites do come with self-catering facilities. Finally, treatments at the secluded Metsäkyly Forest Sauna & Spa offer the perfect counterpart to all Arctic exploration.
