Monteverdi Tuscany

This is a dynamic base boasting bountiful comfort and experience. The property’s remoteness makes it perhaps more ideal for those happy to stay put and enjoy the in-house events and amenities. Come 2022, the hotel will reopen with a brand-new spa clinic, restaurant, meeting spaces and even three new suites.

Stay at Monteverdi

Let the cobbled streets of this village-hotel complex transport you to the pleasures of a bygone time. Monteverdi celebrates the spirit of Tuscany, and it does this in several distinct ways. From iron-wrought lanterns and stone floors, to rustic wood-beamed ceilings, suites retain authenticity and evoke enchantingly dreamy nights.Exteriors, too, maintain their original façades. They are elevated by terraced tables, lavender bushes and an enticing lap pool. Relish a quiet afternoon reading, beneath the sweet shade of fig and olive trees. Dine al fresco with a glass of local vintage or in the Library Bar, where private chefs wait to create exclusive treats. Prepare for private vineyard tastings, Etruscan ruins visits and Florence shopping trips. Alternative bespoke tours are also on the cards.

Location

Sat almost in between Florence and Rome, you can choose to fly into whichever city suits most. Either drive should be no more than a couple of hours, and from the hotel, the Sarteano commune is conveniently closeby.

Rooms

Stays at this boutique property number just 20. A classical ode to the charms of Tuscan life, they marry modernity with traditional decor. Lovingly reimagined from former Medieval homes, villas feature sleek kitchens with either a private garden or terrace space.
