Location
The very west of Italy, just over the mountains from Monaco and a good 90 minutes south of Turin. Fiocco di Neve is in Cuneo, a region of Italy that’s hardly changed and is far less explored than even elsewhere in Piedmont.
Rooms
The style is alpine chic, with loads of wood, some pairs of antlers and a little exposed stone. It’s traditional but not old fashioned, definitely cute rather than opulent. Rooms are pretty small so go for one of the suites.
Who is it for
Works best as a short stop on a road trip, especially when connecting the French Riviera with Italy. This is a charming little place when you stay for a couple of nights.
Facilities & activities
While Cuneo doesn’t have the fame found elsewhere in Italy, it’s still a delightful place to explore. There’s skiing in winter and biking in summer, plus countless hikes to enjoy. You feel an authentic way of life everywhere you go, whether it’s the food or small nearby villages. The hotel has a very good spa as well.
