The service and food are top-level. Though for some the heavier price tag may be a downside, Badrutt’s has been the pinnacle of St. Moritz accommodation for over 100 years. The least we can say is that it’s a safe bet.
Stay at Badrutt's Palace
Badrutt’s Palace is one of the grand dames among European hotels. Badrutt’s style is old-world, suited to the hotel’s 19th-century atmosphere, so this may not be the best place for ruthless fans of contemporary design. But if you do appreciate history, antique furniture and classic elegance — you will love it here. This is a great accommodation if you want to enjoy St. Moritz — just step outside the hotel and you are right in the town centre.
Location
Badrutt’s Palace is 3 hours by car and 3h30 by train from Zurich Airport. It’s a 3-minute drive from St. Moritz train station. You will be in the centre of St. Moritz, facing the lake and within walking distance of cafes, bars and shops. The hotel shuttle will take you to the ski lifts.
Rooms
Decor in the 157 rooms ranges from fully historical, to a clean contemporary look with vintage touches. We definitely recommend you take one of the rooms with a lake view.
Who is it for
Badrutt’s Palace is suitable for couples as well as families, but there are no special family rooms or suites — families either use extra beds or interconnecting rooms. There is a kids’ club, though, and children get free ice cream and popcorn.
Facilities & activities
You can choose from seven restaurants, including Michelin-starred Igniv. The hotel has a tennis court, ice rink, and an indoor pool with a view to the mountains, and the subterranean spa is considered one of the best hotel spas in Switzerland.
