Stay at Six Senses Zil Pasyon
Félicité Island is a timeless island paradise and Six Senses have pulled off something truly remarkable with their Zil Pasyon resort. It’s luxurious, sure, but it’s more than that – it’s clever too. The entire 30 villa resort feels as if it’s grown organically out of the rock and jungle, like it’s been here forever. With two-thirds of the private island left wild, you can pamper yourself in extreme luxury in the morning and then wander a maze of jungle tracks with the resort’s resident ecologist in the afternoon. If there is ever an island to disappear from the world on, this is it.
Location
Félicité is in the heart of the Granite Islands. From Mahe we highly recommend the 20-minute helicopter transfer as it maximises your holiday time, although it’s only available during daylight hours. Private speedboat transfers are the best option when transferring from another Seychelles island.
Rooms
Six Senses call it “stealth architecture” and we love it. All villas are designed sympathetically to blend seamlessly into the island’s natural landscape. All villas have private pools and even the entry-level options are high quality and very spacious. Only a few multi-bedroom villas and their availability can be challenging, but they are some of the best kept secrets in the Indian Ocean.
Who is it for
Zil Pasyon is an inspirational combination of sustainability, high-end luxury and exploring wild nature. It’s a seductive, almost secretive escape that mostly suits couples, although the multi-bedroom residences work well for families.
Facilities & activities
Four beaches, a water sports centre, a spa spectacularly situated amongst the island's granite inselbergs, a personal Guest Experience Maker (GEM) for each villa. Day trips to neighbouring islands and an in-house ecologist for nature tours. While the villas are spectacular that’s not why you stay here - at Zil Pasyon an entire island is your outdoor playground.
