Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel

The seamless service and prestige of this estate is a favourite among celebrities. Though there is no proper beach, a pontoon and platform allow for ocean swims. Booking well in advance is best, as the grounds are often reserved privately for weddings and other events. The same goes for loungers at the beach club, particularly over summer.

Stay at Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel

Retreat from the golden rays of the French Riviera, and enter a lobby of illustrious ceilings, chandeliers and marble floors. Recline for a moment on the foyer sofa, hot towel and welcome drink already in hand. This sumptuous interior follows as you step into your suite, where a glimpse of the sea emerges instantly. Sparkling waves send their own hello. Dressed down and refreshed, you venture out to explore, starting with a trip to the beach club in the scenic funicular. As you descend past the curves of umbrella pines, a hillside infinity pool comes into view. Its crystal clear waters entice for a dip. Signature massages in your private beach pavilion follow. Indulge in sensational Michelin dishes and a legendary wine list next. From your spot on the shaded veranda, culinary bliss and romantic vistas combine.

Location

The hotel enjoys a clifftop position in the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula, amid 17 acres of landscaped gardens. Iconic French Riviera sites such as Villa Santo Sospir, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and the beautiful Greek Villa Keryos can all be found closeby. Nice airport is only 30 minutes away.

Rooms

Each of the property’s 74 stays are generous in size and adorned by pristine white shades. Accommodation is spread among the original 1908 palace, the more contemporary residence and a standalone villa sleeping up to 13. Sea view rooms are worth the splurge.

Who is it for

Overseen by the Four Seasons, the level of luxury here will grant couples an epically romantic trip. However, families, too, are welcomed by a Kids Club with its own garden space, paddling pool and imaginative games and treats.

Facilities & activities

Alongside open-air spa treatments and outdoor fitness classes, a glass funicular whisks guests down to the beach club, with its impressive Olympic-sized infinity pool. Dining venues comprise poolside Club Dauphin, chic bistro La Veranda and the uncontended Michelin-starred flair arising from Le Cap.
