Location
The hotel is nestled deep in the Cote de Blancs, famous for its Grand Cru villages, bright white rocks that make some of the region’s best Champagne and tiny settlements. A bucolic location accessed by a 50 minute drive from Reims.
Rooms
Ten of them fill the house. Each is elegantly designed of course, designed to cocoon you once you’ve had your fill of wine and food in the restaurant downstairs. You’ll notice a touch of Champagne colour throughout the interiors, in case you forget whereabouts in the world you are.
Who is it for
Thanks to its size, Les Avises lends itself to private trips. You could take your family, your friends or coworkers and have the run of the house. If it’s just you and a loved one however, expect to rub shoulders with foodies and Champagne lovers who come for the hotel’s superb restaurant and to rest after a long day’s wine tasting in the nearby vineyards.
Facilities & activities
The restaurant is the star here. A dining room that seats just 20 guests, expect to dine on locally sourced food, expertly executed by chefs formerly of Anne-Sophie Pic’s restaurant. The Champagne list is as long and deep as you would expect. Note that the family Jacques Selosse Champagne is so rare that only two bottles a day can be opened in the restaurant.
