Stay at the Nolinski
There isn’t anything that will stop you in your tracks more than opening your hotel room to a brightly coloured entrance hall. Think hot pink or canary yellow that opens out into more chilled out grey and cream hues in the main room. It’s touches like this that make the hotel Nolinski so, well, cool.Imagine swimming in a subterranean pool that looks like it would fit right into a Bond villain’s lair (or maybe the Batcave if that’s more your preference). Or taking dinner at the hotel’s creative restaurant before enjoying drinks in the 50s style salon.Everything about the Nolinski feels like you’ve stumbled onto the coolest hotel in the world. And if you ask us, that hunch might well be right.
Right in the heart of the action, on a lively road (the hotel has excellent double glazing so noise isn’t a problem) in the first arrondissement. The Louvre is five minutes by foot, as is the Seine river.
Just 45 of them, each individually designed. Designer Jean Louis Denoit is famed for his homes and apartment interiors, so the rooms have a home away from home kind of vibe. Playful touches are everywhere such as abstract art and fun use of colour.
Who is it for
This is for the cool kids, the ones that don’t want anything too formal during their visit to Paris. And if you like your service efficient but warm, you’ve come to the right place.
Amenities & Activities
The subterranean spa is a highlight; the 16 metre pool, personal trainers and bespoke beauty treatments are as trendy as the hotel itself. There’s also an excellent restaurant that is quietly making a name for itself in the Parisian elite and art crowds. And if you love desserts, you’re in for a real treat; this is the only place to try Yann Brys’ incredible pastry work.
