Hawaii with the Family? Four Seasons Hualalai Just Reopened

There’s a Four Seasons resort on a tropical ocean island that’s just completed a $100 million renovation. No, not in the Indian Ocean. We’re on the island of Hawaii in the Pacific.

Holiday Like a Privileged Few

Hawaii is a big island, and compared to Indian Ocean islands, it can offer more to do on a summer family holiday. The problem with almost all Hawaii hotels, including Four Seasons Hualalai, was it was difficult to get private accommodation comparable to those in the Maldives or Mauritius.

This has changed with this huge renovation. Four Seasons Hualalai is a vast resort, complete with tennis courts, golf course, a large spa, multiple swimming pools, different beaches and activity programs. In summary, a classic five-star beachfront resort for family holidays. Now they’ve added a much needed upgrade to all the rooms, with the addition of new suites.

The Four Seasons Hualalai renovation was completed with the unveiling of three villas. These are all part of the Four Seasons’ Speciality Suite collection. General manager Charlie Parker explains more:

“These distinct villas serve as a home-away-from-home not only for guests, but also their extended families and friends as well.”

Each villa is spread across two floors, with indoor and outdoor living spaces, private plunge pools and a concierge for their stay. Suites and villas come with a personalised selection of inclusions, such as activities, resort services and dining.

Over the last month we’ve found that these “inclusions” vary widely, even for a booking in the same category suite at the same time. They are totally negotiable, so leave it for us to arrange the best deal. General manager Charlie Parker told us to expect the best for our Elite Voyage clients.
