Hotel Único Madrid

Hotel Único has a much more quiet, relaxed and local ambience than other more grand properties like the Four Seasons or the Mandarin. We advise you to keep that in mind when deciding where to stay on a family vacation in Madrid.

Stay at Hotel Único

A quiet place in an elegant Madrid location — this is Hotel Único. The peaceful atmosphere starts outside, with the neoclassical buildings and maple trees along the street. Inside, it’s the black and white floor, marble staircase, the inner garden, the library. If you want to lodge in a central location, but away from the noise and movement of the very centre, Hotel Único is a great option. You can tour the city’s landmarks, then quickly retreat back to the cool comfort of your room. You can also visit great shops without leaving the neighbourhood.

Location

Hotel Único is in the Salamanca district — it’s not quite the city centre, but a much more relaxed neighbourhood, with plenty of high-end shops. Museums and central landmarks like Puerta de Alcalá and Parque del Retiro are within a 10-minute drive or a 30-minute walk. Barajas Airport is 25 minutes away.

Rooms

The hotel has only 44 rooms, which gives it a boutique feel. The decor is in bold, elegant contemporary style. Some rooms have balconies.

Who is it for

Children are welcome, but the atmosphere of the Único is on the quiet side, and there are no particular amenities for kids. Babysitting can be arranged, though.

Facilities & activities

The highlight is the 2 Michelin-star restaurant Ramon Freixa, which serves modern Spanish cuisine. The hotel has no spa, but there is a wellness suite and a gym. The library and garden are great places for chilling out after being out around the bustling capital.
