Lydmar Hotel Stockholm

"This is a quintessential Stockholm base. Less opulent than its historic neighbour, it breeds laidback luxury and intimate romance. For those who crave a special splurge, the original details and sumptuous touches of X Large room are wholly sufficient."

Explore Lydmar

Discover an unexpected refuge in Stockholm’s pulsing centre. Of course, it is none other than the cosy ambience found at heart-warming Lydmar. Behind a striking white stone façade and slate-roofed exterior, waits a microcosm of moments spent utterly carefree.Wake to an interior designed to soothe from the get go. Get lost in midday harbour gazing, as you watch the interactions of Strömkajen take place below. Minutes later, you enter the scene, eager to witness Swedish customs upclose. Evening arrives and it’s time for your favourite meal at the brasserie. Live music follows these finger-licking flavours, so you make your way to the terrace, already nodding to the strums of local tunes.

Location

The Lydmar brags a perfect location by the waterfront. It’s actually nestled right beside the Grand Hotel, but is more for those who crave a boutique experience. Expect to find world-class museums, high-end fashion and vibrant dining all within walking distance.

Rooms

Of the 46 rooms and seven suites here, most have views over the harbour, though the Classic King 412 and Medium King 413 are particularly well-placed. All stays are inviting, wrapped in plush fabrics, modish bathrooms and a generously-stocked minibar.

Who is it for

Children of all ages are welcome, with cots and extra beds readily available for all rooms save the Classic King category. Couples will especially cherish the bold and sleek feel of this central boutique.

Amenities & Activities

Within the property, you’ll find a lovely terrace, restaurant and exhibition space. A waterside patio, lounge and bar also feature. Though there’s no gym, guests have free access to the fitness centre at the Grand Hotel next door. Entry to their Nordic Spa is extra, but well worth the indulgence.
