Stay at Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo

Crashing waves. Hidden beaches. Verdant jungle. This is Mexico’s Pacific coastline, beautiful and untamed. Surely too wild for premium luxury? Not so, as Four Seasons open their new Tamarindo resort in Jalisco. There are several private beaches and coves, endemic species and a large private nature reserve. Plus the amenities and quality expected from Four Seasons, including spa and golf. As with all new hotels it could take a while before Four Seasons Tamarindo smoothes out their operation, but in 2023 we expect this to emerge as a great beach leisure destination.
Location
Jungle meets the Pacific Ocean here and the sprawling resort is fully immersed in nature. It’s remote, over three hours from Puerto Vallarta and one hour from the new Manzanillo-Costalegre international airport. We anticipate that getting here will be time consuming and challenging, although the entire region is being developed so connections should improve in the coming years.
Rooms
157 accommodations including 63 suites. It’s all about a suite with an ocean view and the Cliffside Suites look fantastic, with their long private swimming pools.
Who is it for
This is a new beach leisure destination and given the remote location, it makes sense to spend at least a week out here, fully relaxing into the atmosphere and nature. As with any Four Seasons beachfront resort, the range of accommodations and amenities will suit a wide range of travellers.
Facilities & activities
This is a very extensive and ambitious resort. Four restaurants and bars, a championship golf course, three pools, a spa with eight treatment rooms and multiple saunas, boat dock for fishing and scuba excursions. Not just one beach but many, plus all the quiet coves. Then the programs for children and young adults.
