Chablé Yucatán

The design just feels right given the history of the area and surroundings. If you have younger children this may not be fit for them and rather look at heading to the Mayakoba complex. This hotel is a sacred gem in the eye of Mexico, with one of the country’s most unique spas.

Stay at Chablé Yucatán

The indigenous forest crawls and climbs through vast land until it reaches a man-made haven, the Chablé Yucatán hotel. The hotel blends and mixes with the natural sounds of the forest as it gets engulfed by the climbing trees. Peace and silence reach their epitome here, with luxury incorporated into the natural wonders of the world.750 acres of the jungle surround the restored 19th-century hacienda style hotel. Here is where wellness is found. Spa treatments, rituals, and the ever-presence of a rich history make it a place to marvel and work on getting in touch with your inner self.

Location

Chablé Yucatán is something completely different from its sister resort Chablé Maroma and other beachfront resorts on the Riviera Maya. It is located rather far inland, about 45 min drive from Mérida and 2 hours from Chichen Itzá.

Rooms

The resort has 40 stand-alone casitas, essentially private villas, each with its own private pool and outdoor patio. Between lazy hammocks and engulfing couches, the rooms have relaxation and privacy in mind. Family villas have two bedrooms and an adjoining living room, while the presidential and royal villas offer absolute privacy with their three bedrooms.

Who is it for

In general, this is best for couples who plan to make use of the superb spa and explore Mayan culture. It can also be perfect for families who have older children. Overall, it’s an enchanting escape, very different to a typical beachfront holiday. Consider combining Chablé Yucatán with a beachfront Mexican property for a diverse holiday.

Facilities & activities

The spa is incredibly unique as it’s located inside a cenote. Here you can experience some very traditional Mayan rituals - we really recommend the temezcal healing ceremony. Chablé also has a detox program and gym, along with a nine-hole golf course, tennis court, and nature paths to explore. Illuminated by fire and candlelight, the restaurant is another highlight, as is the collection of 3,475 tequila bottles.
