Finally a fresh and contemporary take on luxury hospitality in Vienna’s Old Town. We love the residential style and distinctive design of this hotel opened in summer 2022. Highly recommended and a reason to reconnect with the Austrian capital.
Stay at Rosewood Vienna
Step into somewhere new. This isn’t the Vienna you know, it’s intimate and fresh, hinting at old Vienna but delivering something contemporary for the modern-day traveller. Wood, gold, copper and marble. A tea room fringed with vintage murals. Austrian signature drinks on a rooftop. It feels more like a luxury apartment complex than a hotel. And you feel more like a residential tenant than a standard hotel guest, as Rosewood elegantly delivers on their sense of place concept. It’s a brand new hotel and we envisage Rosewood Vienna to quickly become the best hotel in the city.
Location
Tucked away on the small Petersplatz square, in the very heart of Vienna, with so much that’s easily walkable. For example, St Stephen Cathedral is a three-minute walk. Such a central location only makes the hotel’s homely and spacious feel more remarkable. It’s a 25-minute transfer from the airport.
Rooms
The 99 residentially-styled rooms are quite a change from Vienna’s old-world five-star hotels. The style isn’t hyper-modern but it is hyper-comfortable and spacious, delivering the premium quality we’ve come to expect from all Rosewood hotels. The building and design make this a refreshing place to stay. We highly recommend the suites with a balcony, as you can experience Vienna’s streets from what feels like your own luxury apartment.
Who is it for
Rosewood Vienna is for people who want a more contemporary style of accommodation in the Austrian capital. Great for couples and small families - extra beds and cots can be added to all rooms. No interconnecting rooms but outerconnecting rooms, with two rooms accessed from a private hallway. If you seek a classic old-world hotel in Vienna then there are better options.
Facilities & activities
The hotel’s interior spaces flow into each other, from a tea room to a courtyard and brasserie-style restaurant with wine gallery and garden. The Asaya Spa is very nice, especially for such a central city hotel. Don’t miss Austrian handcrafted cocktails with a city view on the rooftop.
