Krallerhof

Stunning new spa facilities have elevated this excellent wellness hotel further. It has a great location in nature, including ski-in ski-out access, plus a nice balance between tradition and contemporary.

Stay at Krallerhof

On one hand, Hotel Krallerhof it’s a charming mid-20th-century alpine property, with the personal hospitality you’d expect from a fourth-generation owner-operated hotel. Yet the striking architectural profile, international art and new spa are very much of a contemporary forward-thinking hotel. This nice balance of styles is one reason Hotel Krallerhof comes recommended by us. Hotel Krallerhof is evolving from an four-star inn to a genuine five-star property, especially with the new spa, although some of the design elements do need a re-think or refurbishment in our opinion.

Location

Blissful. In the foothills of the Austrian Alps, about five hours by road from Prague, just over one hour from Salzburg. Here you enjoy nice views and real tranquillity, any month of the year. The Steinbergbahn cable car is directly below the hotel and provides access to the huge Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski area. You can comfortably ski directly into the hotel too. So many other activities are possible in the area. For example, this is a real hiking and biking paradise in summer, with Epic Bikepark Leogang nearby.

Rooms

There’s a big variety of rooms and suites in what is a relatively large alpine hotel. All are comfortable yet they vary substantially in terms of size, colours and design. It’s best to discuss the exact room choice with us. If you like a certain style you won’t be disappointed, but you should be prepared for the somewhat unusual interior styles. Room choice also depends on how much space you need and what you plan to do during your stay.

Who is it for

This is a great wellness property for adults seeking a few days of nature, spa facilities and genuine relaxation. Also for people interested in longevity programs, which the hotel now specialises in. And it’s a nice ski plus wellness destination in winter too.

Facilities & activities

The new spa is one of the best we’ve seen, including a 50-metre infinity pool inside a lake, ice grotto and zen garden. It’s really a spa where you can spend half a day in complete repose. It also offers interesting longevity procedures like whole body cryotherapy, IHHT-Altitude training and red light therapy. Ski-in ski-out access is another big plus for the hotel, as is the good restaurant. The hotel offers 3/4 board, with breakfast, light afternoon lunch buffet and five-course dinner. A la carte dining at neighbouring Kraller Alm and Asitzbrau restaurant on top of Asitzhütte mountain is recommended.
