Wake to the Indian Ocean breeze. Order a breakfast cocktail to your deck. Ride a buggy to a full morning treatment in the spa. Ask for some snacks. A bottle of sparkling from the large wine cellar. A water activity. Keep asking and you will receive, because the motto here is anything, anytime, anywhere. Kudadoo is the first fully all-inclusive private island resort in the Maldives and everything is included, from the activities and spa to round-the-clock dining and a very impressive bar. It’s very small and specific. It could be the Maldives holiday you dream of, but it’s certainly not everybody’s dream.

Location

The northern Lhaviyani Atoll is a 45-minute seaplane flight from Male. Your journey to Kudadoo is shared with guests staying at its larger sister property Hurawalhi. Although the reef really suffered from coral bleaching, the underwater world remains superb out here.

Rooms

Just 15 overwater villas, a cross between a modern Japanese home and Indian Ocean paradise. Think granite stone, cedar wood, sliding doors and undisturbed ocean views. We love how everything is powered by solar and there’s absolutely no plastic on the island or in the rooms.

Who is it for

This is an adults-only retreat for adults who prefer all-inclusive holidays. Everything is included and you’re encouraged to change your plans on a whim. A butler will take care of everything and the service is exceptional for an all-inclusive property.

Facilities & activities

Kudadoo really is a tiny island so don’t expect any long walks in the sun. It’s large enough for a good spa (included of course) and an array of water activities (included), but mostly your stay is about the service. You have a butler on speed dial for just about anything you want. The larger Hurawalhi Maldives is only three minutes away by speedboat and you can also utilise its facilities, but note that this is an entry-level five-star property that we do not recommend to clients.
