Stay at the Khwai River Lodge
Enclosed among wilderness overlooking a floodplain, this is a lodge that holds the blessing of Botswana’s first president. Beautifully appointed accommodation houses all manner of comforts. Beyond, the spirit of nature abounds untamed and free.Get acquainted with the graceful creatures that inhabit these lands, on a guided safari walk along hippo-filled waters. Cruise in an open 4x4 vehicle after dark. At night, a new side to the bush comes alive. Enjoy traditional meals served in the candle-lit boma, before rounding off the evening with a romantic in-room massage.
Positioned gracefully under a canopy of leadwood and fig trees, the lodge is in the Okavango Delta, on the edge of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. The region is renowned for its large mammal populations. You can expect to see buffalos, hippos, elephants and more.
The 15 tented abodes here are generously spaced apart. Built on timber platforms, they overlook the river. Each features wide verandas with sun loungers. The two “luxury” chalets offer copper-framed baths, extended viewing decks and a heated splash pool.
