Royal Mansour Marrakech

This is easily Marrakech’s most lavish property, serving exclusive riad abodes in a perfect location. The scale of opulence may be too much for some traveller tastes, but overall this remains a beautiful, traditional base worthy of royalty.

Stay at Royal Mansour Marrakech

Embrace the grand offerings of the Royal Mansour, with its palatial yet unexpectedly cosy presence. Every inch of this kingly-designed Arabian palace will dazzle, from the sight of geometric mosaics and carved cedarwork, to the soothing strums of exotic birdsong.Amid lushly-planted walled gardens, your personal riad unfolds. The epitome of Moorish luxury, you can eat, sleep and swim in style without ever leaving your quarters. But should you vacate for the day, dune boarding, horse riding and hot air ballooning wait in store. Next, explore the charms of the historic centre at sunset, before returning for Silk Road-inspired fare. Picture live music amid fragrant flora, or fancy gastro-pleasures by the fire. Regardless of your indulgence preference, this “Medina within a Medina” really has it all.

Location

Discreetly perched in Hivernage between the Medina and Ville Nouvelle, the hotel is just a 5-minute drive to Djemaa el-Fna. Those who opt for the airport pick-up will be whisked through customs in no time via a special express lane.

Rooms

A total of 53 riads comprise the picturesque estate, the largest of which go up to three bedrooms. Each stay is spread across three levels, complete with private courtyards, sitting rooms, kitchenettes and roof terraces hosting firepits and plunge pools.

Who is it for

Families with children are catered to excellently, via welcome gifts, in-room entertainment and the wonderful Le Jardin de Lila Kids Club. But that’s not to say intimacy is lacking for couples. Indeed, accommodation here is very private.

Climate & seasons

Impeccable service combines with a wealth of facilities, ranging from two bars, three restaurants, a Cigar Bar and Chimney Lounge, to ornate gardens, a large outdoor pool and what is probably the most beautiful hammam and spa in the city. Dining at Michelin-starred Le Jardin in particular is not to be missed.
