A labour of love with seven years of hard graft to its name, Kasbah Tamadot is an elevated High Atlas realm of pleasures. Moroccan safari-style dominates this Richard Branson-owned lodging. Authentic stays inspire adventure via inherited antiques.Explore the intriguing courtyards, staircases and landscaped gardens of this highly private complex, where views of Mount Toubkal are ingrained in every corner. The walled resort indulges with on-site recreation aplenty, but it's the camel rides at sunset that take one’s breath away. Days are spent roaming local markets, and nearby villages where local workshops are held. Evenings are romantic on the valley-facing terrace. Intimate dinners, drinks in the Jacuzzi and stargazing all come next.
Location
Tucked into the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, the estate overlooks the Ouirgane Valley. It is an easy hour’s drive from Marrakech Airport to get here. Meanwhile, lush gardens, Asni village and rugged terrain form the immediate surrounds.
Rooms
Only 28 rooms and suites occupy the property. All have either a balcony or terrace, and are scattered strategically to optimise privacy. Finally, 10 coveted Berber tents with private decks also feature. A select few of these host outdoor whirlpool tubs.
Who is it for
Ample activities ensure entertainment for couples and families, with a tailored children’s programme offering mule rides, Moroccan tea parties, treasure hunts and more. However, due to their hillside position, kids are not permitted in the Berber tents.

Generous hotel facilities comprise indoor and outdoor pools, a sumptuous spa with hammam and Watsu pools, a gym, two tennis courts, a library, billiards room and an on-site shop.
