Location

Found in the northernmost folds of Thailand, the tented resort enjoys a secluded hillside location. Nature and wildlife excursions are bountiful. Meanwhile, the journey over involves a 90-minute drive from Chiang Rai Airport, followed by a scenic 10-minute boat ride.

Rooms

A safari adventure theme dominates the camp, which is composed of 15 generously spaced luxury tents. Each has air-conditioning, alongside handmade leather furnishings, standalone tubs and vintage decor. Some come with private wooden hot tubs. Finally, there’s the Explorer’s Lodge, a 6-person abode with pool perfect for large groups.

Who is it for

The isolated, back-to-nature vibe here is befitting of couples and adult guests. That, and the fact that children under 10 aren’t permitted. Therefore, those travelling with little ones will prefer a more family-friendly base.

Facilities & activities

Service is exceptionally intimate, with facilities such as a dramatic open-air spa. While there’s no gym, outdoor activities like morning hikes and yoga mean this is hardly missed. Dining is just as intrepid. Beside a thatched-roof restaurant and bar, guests can enjoy private picnics, candlelit dinners and daily cheese and wine tastings.
