Stay at Soneva Kiri

Roam the remote treasures of untouched Koh Kood, at a barefoot-luxe resort promoting simple living. Here, pleasures may not be superficially shiny, but in no way are they dull or merely plain. Rather, consider it a decompression from the confinements of modern life.Savour the sands of a shoreline that still retains privacy. Snorkel in crystal-clear oceans, enjoying fish kingdoms to yourself. Tall towering palms provide paradisical features. Leafy canopies strumming with life complete the Robinson Crusoe vibe. Relish complimentary yoga at the stroke of sunset. Off-site dining in a sea inlet lit with lanterns comes next.
Location
Nestled on the banks of Koh Kood, the resort calls one of Thailand’s largest and least built-up islands home. From Bangkok, it’s an 80-minute flight in the hotel’s private plane. First you’ll land on a neighbouring island, followed by a short speedboat ride.
Rooms
The hotel is host to a village of villas, either sat on the beach or tucked away in the forest. Stays span one to five bedrooms, complete with ample space and privacy to unwind to the max. Expect lots of woods, large windows and (in some villas) outdoor tubs.
Who is it for
Couples and honeymooners will no doubt appreciate the seclusion afforded. However, families too are welcomed with open arms, with babysitting services available for the little ones and a giant treehouse play area for kids aged five and up.
Facilities & activities
Supplying the Friday to your Robinson Crusoe, each villa comes with a personal attendant. Meanwhile, facilities beyond are excellent, comprising a gym, spa, tennis court, pool and beach. When it comes to gastronomy, destination dining reigns supreme, but there’s also a chocolate room, ice cream bar, wine cellar and multiple on-site venues.
