With over 1500 rooms the famous Atlantis, The Palm is not an exclusive hotel and we don’t recommend it for couples. However, thanks to the sheer range of facilities and activities, like access to Aquaventure waterpark next door, it can be a great option when travelling with active kids.

Stay at Atlantis The Palm

An iconic image of Dubai, stretching across the sand on the tip of Palm Jumeirah. Uninterrupted views over the Arabian Gulf. Endless fun in the waterpark next door. Atlantis The Palm promises an eden and if you’re 12 years old it delivers. But it’s not an exclusive hotel, more like a theme park. It’s amazing for families with active kids, because there is so much to do without leaving the resort.

Location

For an epic uninterrupted view this is the best location in Dubai. You’re on the edge of the Palm, on the edge of Dubai, either looking out at the Arabian Sea, or looking back towards the iconic cityscape. Note that the location is actually quite remote and it’s at least a 20-minute taxi ride to go anywhere else. So Atlantis is not convenient if you plan many excursions.

Rooms

Quality varies significantly between the many room categories. In general, the higher the floor the better the view, plus the room will be of a higher overall quality. We recommend the Imperial Club as it comes with a range of benefits that can make a difference at such a large resort, like express check-in, private beach, afternoon tea, evening drinks and more. The signature suites are very interesting, including the duplex underwater suite in the aquarium, although other Dubai hotels also offer unique suites with a more boutique service.

Who is it for

Families with active children who want to spend almost all their holiday in and around the resort.

Facilities & activities

The legendary Aquaventure waterpark is part of the Atlantis complex and it’s a great day out, perhaps even a great few days out for the kids. Like Aquaventure, the Lost Chambers Aquarium is also a good inclusive family amenity. You’ll find a lot of swimming pools, restaurants and things to do across Atlantis The Palm. Facilities make this holiday, because you won’t find much privacy or very personal service.
