Waldhotel is the latest addition to the world-famous Burgenstock Resort, perched high on a hill above Lake Lucerne. Zurich is the closest major airport and it’s around eight hours by road from Prague. A stay at Waldhotel includes access to all the facilities within the resort, including the Burgenstock spa.
Rooms
137 rooms and suites, all with a holiday atmosphere and no clinical edges. Designed by Matteo Thun, the hotel has an at-one-with-nature feel, dominated by natural wood and stone. It’s modern five-star luxury. The suites provide abundant space, a sense of calm, and the magical vistas Burgenstock is known for.
Who is it for
Unlike other medical wellness hotels, we’re comfortable recommending Waldhotel to people not using the medical facilities. Waldhotel is great when one person in your party wants the clinical diagnostics or health program, and the rest just want a relaxing holiday. Stays are typically for three to five days although some of the detailed health programs are significantly longer.
Facilities & activities
Waldhotel has a good spa but the real amenity advantage is access to all the Burgenstock facilities. You have an entire resort, but the feeling of staying in a smaller hotel. The Medical Excellence facilities are as exhaustive as anywhere.
