Raffles London at The OWO

This eye-catching new hotel is a grand celebration of historic and present glamour, part of a new era of super-luxe hospitality in London. It’s over the top and beautifully done, definitely one for a treat in the city.

Stay at Raffles London at The OWO

Raffles have converted the iconic former War Office building in central London into a temple of modern luxury. Opened in September 2023, it’s an extravagant new hotel finding a balance between two eras. It’s at once an ode to classic old London, especially in the lobby and the speciality suites. Raffles' perspective on contemporary opulence shines through too, from marble-clad pools and a Guerlain spa to a Spy Bar accessed through an unmarked door.

Location

Central, central London, within earshot of Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, just across St James’s Park from Buckingham Palace. This Whitehall location bustles all day, although it’s not very lively or interesting at night, except for the bars and restaurants at the hotel itself.

Rooms

With their remarkably high ceilings, colossal windows and copious art, the suites are all about ease and luxury. Maximalism is the design choice and the hotel is heavily focused on suites over basic rooms. The speciality suites are phenomenal and loaded with history, although you can get more for your money elsewhere, even in central London.

Who is it for

A treat for couples who want to try one of the newest and most glamorous hotel in London.

Facilities & activities

Raffles London feels like an urban resort, which is a rarity in London. Mauro Colegreco runs three of the restaurants and Guerlain took over the spa, which fills four floors. There are plenty of places to explore within the hotel, which really is a destination in itself. And then Central London is right on the doorstep.
