Location
Can we say central but a little bit soulless? The hotel is on the busy A4 which is hard to cross and can be noisy. But what it lacks in immediate surroundings, it makes up for in nearby sights. St. James Park is just up the road, as is Buckingham Palace. Central Mayfair and Knightsbridge are not far away on foot or by taxi.
Rooms
The best of the rooms are the suites which boast terraces - outside space like this is an unusual bonus in central London. Many have been recently renovated and boast gleaming marble bathrooms, comfortable seating areas and the quintessential Four Seasons beds.
Who is it for
Four Seasons fans and families who want the convenience of interconnecting rooms, babysitting and children’s menus. It’s not the most original hotel choice but it’s certainly comfortable and a purveyor of style.
Facilities & activities
The 10th floor spa is a boon for the hotel - treatment rooms with unencumbered views of London aren’t exactly common. Lounge in the relaxation pods or vitality pool and de-stress in the gym. The hotel’s Italian restaurant is also very good, focusing on sharing plates straight out of Rome or Amalfi.
