Location

Perched on the northern tip of Hamilton Island, Qualia overlooks Whitsunday Islands National Park. It’s only a five-minute buggy ride to the town’s main beach, marina, bars and restaurants. Organised Great Barrier Reef ventures are also in easy reach.

Rooms

A total of 60 spacious pavilions comprise the property, some of which offer private plunge pools. Inside, earthy materials and natural tones dominate, alongside original art, high-end tech and freestanding tubs. There’s also a Beach House with its own infinity pool.

Who is it for

The casually classy vibe here is best suited to couples, with the hotel unable to cater to families with children under the age of 16.

Facilities & activities

There are two in-house restaurants, one of which is waterfront, however guests can dine at any of Hamilton’s eateries and conveniently room-charge. Beyond this, two infinity pools, a library, gym and spa feature. Off-site, one has tennis, golf and hiking, as well as water sports, scuba diving and day trips to gloriously pass the time.
