The Louise

The Louise is a dream come true for wine lovers, as well as those who wish to experience Barossa Valley’s many spoils. Everything from service and location to excursions and on-site dining reigns supreme.

Stay at The Louise

Prepare for liquid gold glory from the moment you enter, for here we have a base that excels in wine pampering. The hospitality has lured high-end clients for over a decade. Award-winning dining and stylish design have raised the Barossa bar.Breakfast feasts in-suite start your mornings, followed by leisurely strolls beside verdant grapes. Twosomes engage in romantic bike rides, as the sun beams down on winding landscapes. This is a couple’s paradise, after all, and as such a private winery tour next only seems fitting. Roam eclectic farmers markets hand-in-hand after. Later that evening, nightcaps get delivered to your door, as candles by the bathtub wait to be lit.

Location

Just over an hour’s drive from Adelaide, the hotel calls the beautiful Barossa Valley home. Set amid rolling vineyards, it offers easy acess to the region’s highlights, such as Seppeltsfield, Hentley Farm and Tanunda to name a few.

Rooms

Only 15 suites call this intimate estate home. Each is spacious and sophisticated, set in a gentle palette of grey. Private courtyards and fireplaces are the standard. Some abodes also offer underfloor heating, outdoor rain showers and spa baths.

Who is it for

Children aged 10 and over are welcome. That being said, this is very much an adult’s playground, and therefore more befitting of paramours.

Facilities & activities

Expect an infinity lap pool, fitness centre, sauna and games court, while signature experiences include guided walks, tastings at nearby wineries and even having breakfast with kangaroos. There’s also an upscale cocktail bar, while in-house restaurant Appellation ranks as one of South Australia’s finest.
