Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel

This freshly-renovated estate hosts Moroccan-Mediterranean opulence, with cosy local Caribbean hints. It serves the type of barefoot luxury most travellers crave, and is more intimate than its competitor Four Seasons.

Stay at Belmond Cap Juluca

Discover pristine white sands lapped by turquoise waters, where both sunrise and sunset can be glimpsed impeccably. Your Belmond base calls such a cove home. The aura in the air is one of slow pleasures. So unwind to the rhythm of Anguilla, putting all worries to bed.Watch the sea sway from your breezy veranda, as your morning coffee brews. Enjoy fruit smoothies poolside or in a beach cabana, alternating between sunkissed dips and seductive moments of shade. Finally, venture out for a sail at the stroke of golden hour. Creative Caribbean delicacies and rum punches await your return.

Location

The hotel enjoys a priveleged position on the island’s southwest side, 10 minutes by car from Clayton J. Lloyd Airport. Sat by the cresent-shaped Maundays Bay, it is the only property in this part of Anguilla. Therefore, though the beach is public (like all others in the country), it still feels extremely private.

Rooms

Accommodation boasts incredible sea access, with stays situated right on the sand. Though most affordable, entry-level rooms are a little basic. Meanwhile, select suites offer separate living spaces, rooftop terraces and plunge pools - all well worthy of the splurge.

Who is it for

The resort’s quiet surroundings make it an ideal escape for couples. However, families are also well-looked after, with ample child-friendly activities and the Explorer’s Club for those aged 4 to 12.

Facilities & activities

F&B comprises four restaurants, a cocktail lounge and rustic beach bar. There’s also a fitness centre, infinity pool and the alluring Arawak Spa. Activities available include golf, tennis, snorkelling, diving and sailing on the hotel’s 32ft boat.
