Rosewood Baha Mar

Personally our favourite choice of stay in the Bahamas, with an uncontested sense of place. Granted, it’s not the most secluded. But despite Baha Mar’s mega-mammoth size, Rosewood accomplishes smart elegance, outstanding service and undeniable calm.

Stay at Rosewood Baha Mar

Step into an estate of subtle beauty, stretching idyllically from suite to sea. The vibe is one of refined relaxation, and as such it carries the intimacy of lounging in one’s own home. Add to this a heartfelt level of detail, from hand painted murals in the lobby to local candy bowls. Then there’s close proximity to the all-encompassing Baha Mar, bringing a dose of bustle to this at-ease colonial residence. Couples and families alike will find plenty of entertainment, before retreating back to their hushed quarters at Rosewood. Soothe yourself from all the action with a massage overlooking terraces. Back in your cosy chambers, the butler is already drawing a bubble bath.

Location

The hotel enjoys a seafront position, along the beautiful Cable Beach. Situated on New Providence Island, it is just 10 minutes by car from both the airport and downtown. However, the development itself is shared with two other properties. Within this Baha Mar complex though, Rosewood easily ranks top.

Rooms

Over 230 stays construct this haven, including 96 suites and four villas with private pools. Housed in a horse-shoe shaped high rise, all rooms boast balconies, assigned butlers and seating areas. Local art and handwoven touches lend to the sophisticated beach feel.

Who is it for

The laid back atmosphere here offers natural allure for all. Connecting suites and villas are perfect for those with children. There’s also a kids club shared by the three resorts, hosting complimentary activities such as tennis, snorkelling and animal encounters.

Facilities & activities

Facilities comprise two pools, a gym, private beach, tranquil spa and library serving afternoon tea. Beyond is the Baha Mar complex, a buzzing playground with shopping arcades, a Jack Nicklaus-fashioned 18-hole golf course and the Caribbean’s largest casino. There’s also an art gallery, alongside too many F&B outlets to count.
