Let the myths of Skeleton Coast officially beckon you, to the delights of this imposing desert abode. Sandy slopes and ancient peaks pour into the surroundings. As you roam the depths of these outdoors even further, dunes and ocean waves eventually combine.Start your day with a hearty breakfast, fueling up for the many adventures in store. The morning could see you tracking a pride of lions. Desert-adapted elephants and giraffes may make an appearance too. Beach drives reward with lively seal colonies, followed by a mesmerising private flight back to your quarters. Campfire drinks commence evening festivities later. Conclude with romantic al fresco dinners under impossibly starry skies.

Location

The camp occupies a remote spot in one of the planet’s last truly untouched wildernesses: Kaokoveld. This Namib Desert corner is of otherworldly intrigue, featuring towering dunes and rugged mountains. It is only accessible via light aircraft transfers.

Rooms

Just eight suites are hosted at the property, one of which is a larger family unit. Constructed from a double layer of canvas, they innovatively replace A/C with natural air flow. Meanwhile, interior design boasts modern yet minimalist vibes within.

Who is it for

Twosomes will relish this isolated rendezvous. However, children aged six and older are also welcome, but families with little ones will need to book private activities.

Facilities & activities

An extremely secluded location is part of the luxury here, and as such, the lack of spa facilities are replaced by intrepid excursions. Expect 4WD cruises and wildlife tours aplenty. Beyond this, there’s an on-site swimming pool and delicious dining.
