Halekulani Okinawa

One of our favourite stays on the island, serving ample beachfront bliss to all. It’s a world away from traditional Japanese accommodations in terms of both decor and ambience, but overall, facilities and service are of good quality.

Stay at Halekulani Okinawa

Submit to the crystalline waves of Okinawa, at a base exuding timeless elegance amid subtropical terrain. This is a 2019-opened retreat championing total guest leisure. Raw pleasure unfolds in a series of tranquil ways.Begin your day along trails of lush green foliage, before arriving at an opening of sea and sand. The scene appears too glorious to leave, so it’s only fitting you then explore below the surface. Swap snorkelling gear for glammed up outfits later, as the evening emerges in full swing. The sky lights up in deep orange, over the tune of glasses clinking and live jazz.

Location

Situated along the coast of central Okinawa, the hotel is surrounded by white sands and azure waters. The building itself blends into Kaigan Quasi-National Park beautifully, whilst Onna Village lies beyond the main gates.

Rooms

Each of the property’s 308 rooms and 47 suites lead out onto private balconies facing the ocean. Interiors adopt minimalist design, with predominantly white shades and luxuriously large soaking tubs in bathrooms. Five villas with private onsens also feature.

Who is it for

The estate caters well to couples and families alike, with the Beachfront Wing being more popular among those with kids. Twosomes can retreat to the Sunset Wing.

Facilities & activities

A whopping five pools can be found here, three of which are infinity-edged. Four restaurants, a scenic bar, a lovely spa and gym make up the rest. Meanwhile, activities comprise diving, snorkelling, cruises and cultural outings.
