Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva

If you want a view on the lake and the Jet d’Eau, and a more boutique hotel experience, we recommend you check Beau Rivage and Hotel d’Angleterre instead. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong choosing the Four Seasons — it has a classic design and the signature Four Seasons service.

Stay at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva

This is Geneva's first hotel, and one of the oldest luxury hotels in the world. Interiors are classic and historical, but also light and elegant. With a ten-minute walk, you will reach landmarks such as the Cathedral, Maison Tavel and the Jardin Anglais. Explore Geneva to your heart’s content, then indulge in a spa session followed by a Michelin-starred dinner in the hotel’s Italian restaurant.

Location

he Four Seasons is next to the main bridge over the Rhone (Pont du Mont Blanc), directly in front of the estuary. It sits between the Mandarin Oriental and Beau-Rivage hotels — it's a five-minute walk to each of them. A 15-minute drive will take you to the airport, and it’s a five-minute walk to the train station.

Rooms

There are no two-bedroom categories, so families should choose interconnecting rooms or larger suites with an extra bed. If you prefer contemporary over classic design, get one of the loft studios or suites.

Who is it for

For those who love historical grand hotels, here’s one after their own heart. Families are welcome, and there are spa options and swimming sessions for the little ones.

Facilities & activities

Il Lago is the Michelin-starred Italian restaurant. Izumi serves Japanese-Peruvian cuisine. If you’re here in summer, you can eat on the rooftop terrace, with splendid views of the city, mountains and lake. The hotel has a spa with a vast choice of treatments, as well as a small indoor swimming pool.
